Hot rolled stainless steel strip is produced from slabs or billets via hot rolling, for conversion in cold rolling. The cold rolling process requires multiple passes through a mill in order to reduce the thickness and give it desired surface characteristics and mechanical properties.
Three rolled (unpolished) finishes (No. 1, No. 2 and bright annealed) and one polished finish (mill buffed) are typically available on stainless steel strip. Hot rolled stainless steel 316 strip is created with the hot rolling, annealing, and descaling process, which increases its ductility, strength, and toughness. Cold rolled stainless steel 316 strip is produced with cold rolling of slabs or billets, followed by a water quench, offering excellent tensile strength. The strips are made to Indian and International standards.
TALAT stainless steel strips are made with high quality materials and can be used for a variety of applications and finishes.
